In his works Liam Gillick refers to the conditions of modern live, to theory and critique. Struck! can be understood equally as a statement about the status quo of the labour struggle. 


Liam Gillick, born in 1964 in Aylesbury, Great Britain. He lives in London and New York City. Recent solo exhibitions include A Syntax of Dependency (with Lawrence Weiner), MuKHA, Antwerp. One long walk… Two short piers…, Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn (2010); How will you behave: A kitchen cat speaks, German Pavilion, Venice Biennale (2009); Three Perspectives and a Short Scenario Kunstverein Munich, Kunsthalle Zurich, Witte de With, Rotterdam (2008), Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (2009).
