In his works, Cory Arcangel docks onto many art genres: the new media, appropriation art, pop art, and conceptual art. The protagonists of his video projections, »hacks«, and sound works are Elton John, Super Mario, Bruce Springsteen, Dennis Hopper, the Beatles, or Andy Warhol. Another One Bites the Dust (2007) is a scan of Axl Rose’s sneakers on the backside of The Spaghetti Incident?, an album consisting solely of Guns N’Roses' covers of various punk idols.

Cory Arcangel, born in 1978 in Buffalo, New York. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
